Antique religious Temperance Band of Hope pinback sterling silver star. Presentation piece from a father to his daughter dated for Dec 11th 1874. This Victorian medal brooch is made from sterling silver although it is not marked which means it was custom made by a jeweler for her. The Band of Hope is a British Temperance benevolent society established in 1855.
