Antique 1910s Heavy Brass Embossed British Arts & Crafts Style Box
Vintage heavily embossed British brass keepsake box. Resting on 4 bun feet this heavy brass box is embossed with the national flowers of England (Rose), Ireland (Shamrock) and Scotland (Thistle). This patriotic box was most likely made around the beginning of the 20th century when the image of Great Britain was being promoted throughout its empire. The makers mark on the bottom along with the registration style also intimates this time period. It has a dedication on the inside dating to the 1970's which may refer to the date of presentation or perhaps a birth date.
