Antique bronze art nouveau sliding bookends. Made from bronze with two under rails this expandable bookshelf is decorated on either side with an image of a wooly mammoth or mastodon head in an art nouveau frame. Typical of the period in style except for the subject matter which is a rare exception and extremely beautiful. Not marked anywhere but are very similar in style to Judd and construction.

A great addition to any art nouveau, decorative bronze or library collection.

MEASUREMENTS

Sliding bookend measures 8" long by 7" wide by 4.25" tall and weighs 2lb 8oz. It opens to measure 13" long.
