Antique Primitive Bee Hive String Ball Holder
Antique primitive cast iron string holder. Designed as a beehive this desk top accessory would have been part of a general store counter at the turn of the last century. Constructed as a beehive with a flared ridged bottom lip the string is suspended in the main body by an aerated convex bottom. This bottom piece turns to be removed. the string is extracted via the hole on top and rotates the ball inside so it never tangles. A great decorative and functional item for any commercial business, traditional butchers or gift shop.
Had a 1922 check for $3.36 included with the string.
A great addition to your primitive home decor. This would make a great addition to any primitives collection or a fabulous addition to your country kitchen decor.
