DESCRIPTION

Antique Canadian sterling silver medal. Dating to 1919 this sterling silver and enamel Masonic SOE medal represents Gloucester Lodges 103 past president T Foster. The Sons Of England (SOE) Benevolent Society was a Canadian benevolent society for Protestants which provided insurance to members in need because of family illness or other mishap. It was founded in 1876 in Canada and wound up its affairs in 1971.

Marked on front: SOE, Past President Fidelity, Dieu et mon droit, Honi Soit qui mal y pense
Marked on back: T Sh Foster PP from Lodge Gloucester No 103 1919, STERLING

This would make a great addition to your rare masonic or Canadian medals.

MEASUREMENTS

Medal measures 4.5" long by 1.8" diameter and weighs 1.2oz.
