Antique Victorian English Oak Tantalus Tabletop Cigarette Box Secret Drawer 1880
Antique Victorian British oak tantalus. Dating to the 1880's-90's period this multi functional table top box housed not only the three crystal cut decanters but also cigarettes and cigars in their respective sections in the front. There is also a secret drawer which pops out in the front when a wooden button is depressed in the center which was most likely used for storing gambling accoutrements. The decanters cannot be removed until the two top drawers are opened. A great example of English Victorian innovation and intrigue that would suit any style property, old or new.
This would make a great addition to any late Victorian tantalus or bar decor collection. This would make a great early holiday gift.
