Vintage tobacciana French ceramic advertising match holder / match striker. This classical counter top match holder would have graced a cafe or bar at the turn of the last century with free matches being provided for the patrons. It could be struck against the ridges on the side to ignite the match. Vitalis was a digestive liquor popular in France at this time. This would make a great addition to any bar area, tobacciana or ceramic collection.

MEASUREMENTS

Item measures 3“ tall by 4.1“ base diameter and weighs almost 1lb.

CONDITION

In good condition with signs of use commensurate with age. The base has a small chip on the side and the striker has had use in places (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).

Condition Disclosure
All our items are vintage/antiques and most have had decades of use. A buyer of vintage objects should assume a baseline of wear. I am always honest and clear in my descriptions and always endeavor to point out any flaws to avoid disappointment but I cannot disclose every minute sign of use on our items as it would be impossible to do so. You should assume these are present unless we specify otherwise here at the beginning of the condition report.

I show all angles of the item on photographs so please review the pictures as they should be considered part of the description. Please ask questions before bidding/buying if you have any concerns, I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Any questions will be answered as quickly as possible. If I have made a mistake in my description I am always happy to rectify this so please do let me know if you believe this is the case.

Return Policy
As most of our items are vintage and used they are sold as is and we only accept returns for mailed items. If you are unhappy with your purchase we will accept a return if it is mailed back to us (at your cost) within 14 days. Assuming it is returned in the same condition it was sent and returned within 14 days, we will provide a full refund.

For items that are picked up or collected, we do not provide refunds. Once your item leaves our warehouse, it is no longer our responsibility, and any damage during shipping must be handled by making a claim through the shipper. We will of course provide an invoice or bill of sale, etc, that may be needed for you to file your claim.

Payment
Payment is due immediately. I am a reasonable person and as long as the communication channels are open and clear, I have no problems accommodating special circumstances. I reserve the right to sell or re-list items not paid for within 48hrs.

Shipping
Mailed Items
I ship within 1 business day after receipt of the payment. Each item is packed carefully to make sure it gets to you in excellent condition. Each package comes with a tracking number.

I will combine shipping, please request an invoice after you have purchased multiple items (or message me beforehand) and I will update the shipping cost accordingly.

Many shipping and handling options are estimated at the point of listing. I always endeavor to ships USPS priority and I will refund excess shipping and packaging where my initial estimate was too high (if it was estimated too low, that is my problem).

International Buyers – Please Note:

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

Large Items (listed as Pick Up Only)
By purchasing an item online, you are entering into a legal binding contract to purchasing the item described above.

For local pick-up items, collection must be within 14 days of purchase. I am a reasonable person and as long as the communication channels are open and clear, I have no problems accommodating special circumstances.

In the absence of communication about pick-up the item will begin to incur storage costs after 14 days at a rate of $25 per day. Once the value of the item has been exhausted through storage costs, I reserve the right to relist and re-sell the item.
