DESCRIPTION

Vintage French Pillivuyt porcelain tureen with a duck figural lid. Game tureens are often described as Majolica for their naturalistic subject matter and outer three dimensional appearance. The maker describes them as Porcelaines a Feu (fired porcelain) which is confirmed by their hard, glassy, white interior. The lid has a factory made perforation to release steam.
