DESCRIPTION

Vintage Japanese Shakudo letter opener/page turner made from mixed metals. Late Meiji period in date (1868 -1912) this beautifully ornate letter opener was crafted with great skill and detail. The heavy handle is ornately decorated with 3 dimensional kabuki theater masks which are repeated on both sides. The blade depicts flowers on both sides.

This would make a fabulous birthday gift, housewarming gift holiday gift or for any Japanese metal enthusiasts.

Opener measures: 11" long by 1.25" wide by 0,5" deep and weighs 10.2oz.
