DESCRIPTION

Antique silver Temperance Total Abstinence medal. Issued to a member of the British Indian Total Abstinence Association to be worn as an identifying badge on the lapel . This silver medal depicts the associations slogan "Watch and be sober" on the reverse and the image of drawing water from the well on the obverse.

Marked on front: Total Abstinence Medal India
Marked on back: Watch and be Sober, Total Abstinence Association Formed 1862

MEASUREMENTS

Medal measures 1.3" diameter and weighs 0.8oz.
