Victorian Bristol People Counter for Trams & Trains
DESCRIPTION
Antique Victorian Bristol people counter. This mechanical people counter was used on buses and trams in the late Victorian era to keep track of the number of people that travelled on the vehicle. It would have had a pull cos attached to a spring loaded at the end of the handle. This still works well and retains its original green paint but the raised presswork is bare. A great innovative Victorian collectable which is not only functional but also very aesthetically pleasing. This has been mounted to a piece of hard wood.
MEASUREMENTS
People counter measures 10.75“ long by 3“ wide by 3" deep and weighs just over 4lbs.
CONDITION
In good condition but has a tendency to jump the dial if pulled too hard and quickly(please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
