DESCRIPTION

Antique cast iron official corporate seal for a Victorian water & gas company in the British Midlands in 1877. Very heavy notary stamp and seemingly important due to it having two locks to prevent illegal use, this seal is for The Hoylake and West Kirby Gas & Water Company limited. This is an area around Liverpool in England. The seal is beautifully ornate with a quatrefoil center along with fleur de lys decoration and the pin striping and gold leaf decor is in superb condition.

This would make a great paperweight or decoration on a desk or in a living room. It would equally look superb as part of a museum display.

MEASUREMENTS

Notary Stamp measures 11.5“ long by 4.5“ wide by 9.75" tall and weighs almost 26lbs.
