This one off piece depicts a chimp in a 32 V8 roadster outside his sumptuous manor house. On first glance it looks like a typical rich mans homage to his own wealth and importance until you look a little closer at the driver to realize that it is in fact a chimpanzee. Richard Lithgow has produced a specialized series of art around this them of different primates in positions of affluence which is a play on the wealthy middle class view of themselves in the early 20th century.

This contemporary painting has great presence and character in both its subject matter and execution making it highly collectable as a piece of investment art. We contacted the artist Richard Lithgow and he confirmed that it is an original one off commissioned piece of which no giclees were ever made.

This would look amazing on any wall or would make a fabulous housewarming gift or birthday present for a roadster car fan or as a piece of investment art!
