Vintage brass Ormolu beveled glass jewelry box. This antique French style casket box is constructed from brass, a beveled glass lid with slivered adornment and a button back material interior. This piece dates from 1900 to the 1940's but the style is of Louis XVI with excessive scallop decoration and the winged puttis directing a chariot pulled by a pair of lions. This would make a great presentation box for either an engagement ring or high end piece of jewelry.

This would make a great addition to your French, neoclassical home decor or a great housewarming gift.

Jewelry Box measures 6" long by 4" wide by 2" tall and weighs 1lb 8oz.

CONDITION

The jewelry box is in good condition. There is definitely wear and tear to the gold gilt commensurate with age and use. The white silk interior shows some light staining and the lining has come away slightly at the top edges (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
