Antique 1884 Religious Church Temperance Society S Africa Pin
Antique brass religious medal. Vintage Temperance Movement medal was issued in 1884 by the church temperance society in the British provence of South Africa. South Africa was a provincial colonial outpost of the British empire where the true values of christian society were upheld by benevolent societys. This vintage oblong medal was worn around the neck on a chain by temperance members of the church.

A great addition to your temperance movement collection or religious medal collection. This was part of a large Temperance estate comprising mostly 19th century piece from Britain, Ireland, Canada and the USA.
