DESCRIPTION

Antique French made magic lantern slide projector with Petzval lens. Imported and retailed by the prestigious Boston firm of A T Thompson & co this wood and coated brass magic lantern is complete with its original slide frame, optics,burners and chimney as well as retaining its original wooden transportation box. It also has a spare threaded lens and brass ring. This antique optical device is well marked with both the importers detail and the country of origins details throughout. This dates to the late 19th century when this was the most sophisticated education device used by schools, fraternities and other government agencies.
