Antique Bronze Eugene Provost Cupid Weightlifting Sculpture
DESCRIPTION
Antique bronze Cupid cast by Eugene Provost (1836-1885). This small bronze Cupid appears to be lifting a dumbbell in an overhead snatch position. Sadly one round end of the dumbbell is missing. He sits on a red marble plinth on top of which also rests a bronze sheet with the makers name Provost. The remaining ball screws off the bar bell. This would make a great addition to any antique bronze collection or Valentines collector.
Signed on base Provost
A fabulous addition to your bronze sculptures or the perfect birthday gift for the new crossfit parent.
MEASUREMENTS
Sculpture measures 2.5" by 2.5" base by 5" tall and weighs 1lb 1oz.
CONDITION
This bronze sculpture is in good condition with signs of use commensurate with age, I believe the ball from the back side of the weight is missing and must have broken off at some stage (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
