Antique English1 Gallon Crock Jug ~ H Inwood Grocer, Luton
Antique English stoneware 1 gallon jug. Salt glazed vintage alcohol crock made around the 1910's for local grocer Harry Inwood of Collingdon st, Luton England. This style of flagon was popular from the 1880's. Complete with original cork bung the information is embossed on the actual body of the jug along with a doulton style handle.
This patent H alcohol jug was made by the Pottery of Fulham in London. The Fulham Pottery was a significant salt glaze factory from its founding in 1672 by John Dwight. After several changes of hands it produced very little after 1918 and eventually shut down in 1928.

Crock jug measures 7" base diameter by 8" wide by 12.5" and weighs 8lb 9oz.
CONDITION
In good condition considering age and use, some chips in the crockery jug specifically on side of the handle and a small crack on the spigot protector (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
