Antique Geneva Mechanical Hand Fluting Iron
Victorian hand fluting iron made by Geneva of Illinois. Antique primitive cast iron usable piece of Americana was innovative in that the base was the heating slug/element.
These type of specialty irons were an essential appliance in the late 1800s as pleats and ruffles on collars, cuffs, and dresses were the fashion of the day.

This would make a great addition to any Victorian collection or home decor. This would make a great paperweight gift for a birthday or Christmas.
MEASUREMENTS
Fluting Iron measures 1" tall by 5.75" wide by 3.5" deep and weighs 4lb 8oz.
CONDITION
In good usable condition with signs of use commensurate with age. The hand crimper on the top has a small crack at the front edge in the center (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
