Antique porcelain enamel and metal hanging scale dating to the early 1900's. Vintage porcelain enamel scale is double sided showing both the vendor and the customer the correct weight of produce being sold. Manufactured for by the Industrial Empire Scale and Cash Register Co it weighs up to 5lb in total so was most likely used in a deli, butchers or cheese store. Both sides are marked with the company's name.

MEASUREMENTS

Antique scale measures 14" face diameter (18.5" face height) by 17" wide by 16.5" tall and weighs 24lb 15oz.

CONDITION

In good working condition with signs of use commensurate with age, it is currently calibrated to accommodate the weight of the produce tray at 0 lbs. There is a small chip from the red enamel on the side of the hanging tray (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description). As with all mechanical items I would recommend having re calibrated prior to use to ensure accuracy.
