Antique sterling silver Georgian open cauldron salt cellars. A pair of British silver open salts made in Sheffield in either 1811 or 1826, unfortunately the makers marks is rubbed beyond recognition. These pair of heavy pot bellied salt cellars are ornately decorated on the top rim with wavy gadroons and sit on three lion paw feet with lion head shoulders. Fully hallmarked underneath they include their thick glass inserts.

They are accompanied with two later Victorian sterling silver salt spoons made by James Dixon & sons of Sheffield in 1884. Both are fully hallmarked under the bowl and decorated with scallop shells and foliage on the stem.

Cellars measure between 2.75" diameter by 1.75" tall . Spoons measure 3.5" long by 0.75" and together weigh 10.2oz.
