Vintage Bronze Horse & Cowboy Figurine Statue by Millar 188/200 1980
Vintage heavy bronze bucking bronco sculpture by Pete Millar (1929-2003). Western bronze figurines are cast in unison with complete anatomical understanding of both horse and rider as portrayed by Pete Millar. One of 200 pieces made of this typical western scene 1980 it typifies the resurgence in western culture that thrived in the 1970's and 80's. As with all experienced sculptors Millar has also subtly initialed the horse with an M as a brand on the rear side which is probably an homage to the great sculptor Remington.
Pete Millar was better known as an American illustrator, cartoonist, and drag racer best known for his work with CARtoons and DRAGtoons magazines.
