DESCRIPTION

Vintage religious wood carving of saint Michael trampling Lucifer. Decorative vintage wooden carved painted sculpture of the archangel Michael conquering the devil underfoot. In his left hand he holds the scales of justice and in his right hand the flaming sword. The complete sculpture is finished in amazing detail from the expression on the devils face to the hair eyelashes on the archangel.

MEASUREMENTS

Sculpture measures 19“ tall by 12.5" wide by 8" deep and weighs 6lb 11oz.

CONDITION

In good used condition with some signs of use. There is some chipping to the paintwork and some cracking to the wood particularly in the base and the devils right arm joint area and where the wings met the body of saint Michael (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
